27th april 2006
26th AprilShe went for the last class before that very day come.
The day where she will show what she is made for
The day she has been preparing herself for almost a year.
She ended her class and went home.
She was so excited that she started dancing once again
Finally, she bath and wanted to go to sleep to prepare herself for the big day tomorrow
27th April 2006
but she cannot fall asleep
she lied in bed from 12-2am
and she is still unable to fall asleep
in the end
she went to the living room to sleep
and she went back her room to sleep again.
She woke up at 7.30am
when she intend to wake up at 9am.
in the end she got herself ready for the exam she is going to have at 11.25am.
she left home with her hair bun up neatly.
upon arriving yamaha (tampines mall crestar)
she saw ms pang, her teacher
she greeted her cheerfully "hello ms pang!"
ms pang in turn commented her that she is so excited and cheerful.
She saw her teammates and friends there.
Four of them are going to enter the exam room together.

Blue-------Denise (her partner for two years already, this is the second year) Sec 4
White-----Pearline sec 2
Yellow----Joy sec 2
they have much fun and laughter together
the year past by quickly and before any of they know it
they are about to take their ballet exam
they bond and become good friends
she got super excied and hyper upon seeing them
finally, they got down to some serious work
they started to do warm up
they all use this blue scrungy
and ms pang help them to put an extra bunch of flower on it
11.25am
they were a little late when we enter the room
ms pang ask them to put our things at the side
and run to the front.
She was the first to run because she is the very first girl.
they greet ms talior
she is very nice examiner
who has white hair
and has lots of experience
she keep asking them to drink water and put rosin and wipe themself
she tell them about how the exam is like being on stage
ms talior keep asking her to breathe because she keep coughing
but ms talior do not know that she is not feeling well
so she ask her to breathe and relieve the tension in her chest.
she gave them plently of rest and make some jokes.
she is the best examiner they ever know
and proceed to the bar.
they started off with bar work
she find it hard to breathe
because she is sick
and she is using up energy quickly
and she feels that she has not enough oxygen
she has to take short quick breath
which is not at all ideal but she do not have a choice.
she did all the excercise at the bar without really making any serious mistake
the next challenge will be centre work.
almost all of the centre work is done in pair
so denise and her being partner will go first
followed by pearline and joy.
everything went okay but she know it is not her best
she can do much better.
ms tailor keep talking about how when dancing
they are on stage that she concentrate so much on expressing herself
that she forgot about her techniques.
the next challenge is grand allergo
the very first individual dance.
she did airly well in this dance and hope that she will get high marks in it.
After everybody have a go at this dance.
She will have to do the biggest challenge
Classical dance....
everybody dancer taking the grade 7 exam
will have to pick one dance to choose from
each dance 20 marks..
a very high weightage..
-classical -------------------------- she
-free movement------------------ joy
-character(partner dance)--- denise and pearline
never in her life
will she expect herself to be dancing classical dance
as it is a very difficult dance
and she has more interest in free movement and character dance
but acording to her teacher
she have to play the cards right..
joy is better than her in free movement
and she will lose out
and pearline and denise are not good in classical
and she am not bad in it..
she decide to give classical a try.
but she is very afraid because classical is a enengetic dance
which require alot of energy
and she is just not in the right state to dance it that day.
she tried her best
but she felt that she kind of screw it up
but she know if she did badly
she has only herself to blame
because it is her fault that she never tell her teacher that she do not want classical..
next was free movement
there are only 2 items
both went okay
and joy dance was as good as ever.
she is good!
last but not least
they did character..
it consist of three items...
the first item there is a part where they have a balance
the first one she did it
but the examiner look at denise
and when she look at her for the second one
she lost my balance
just unluckly i guess.
they did the last farewell dance
and left the studio
with a almost empty water bottle
a wet towel
an exhausted mind
and a smile on her face the moment she saw her teacher.
she told her teacher how sloe the adage ending is
and everybody laugh
and also tell her teacher that she screw up classical dance
and ms pang comforted her..
she also tell her how she keep asking her to breathe..
they finish their exam finally
and ms pang took pic of them
after which we ask ms pang to ytake a pic with us
and because she is wearing high heels
she is very tall
she commented that ms pang is very tall today
and ms pang replied " ya.. i am always that shortest in class right."
and she laugh
ms pang held her waist although she feel that she is very sticky and smelly
because she sweat alot.
she was shocked
but happy
she really like her teacher.
ms pang gave them each a lollipop..
and after doing a weird cheer joy left
they played some games and have some fun and left eventually too.
she thought through things and
feel that time flies too fast
and she realy want to slow things down
she know that she will eventually finish the exam grades
so why rushed through everything
she prefer to take it slow
and enjoy every moment of it
because she knows she will be going to be leaving her friends and teacher soon
and the things she loves to do so much
go for ballet class...
but she knows life is like that
and time do not stop for her
thus she promise to enjoy every moment in class..
and make full use of every second she has with her friends and teacher
she hopes that the exam is not yet over and today 28 april 2006 she will still be going to her normal class and not stuck at home doing homework..
she loves ballet and will want to never foget everything that happen on 27th april 2006 and the hours and hours she spent on trying to prefect her dance..
