entrance and exit

a teacher to remember.
we are not friends
we are more than friends.
today, i saw her leave the airport. an entrance to a whole new experience in japan. exciting and scary. but also today, she exits singapore, away from family, friends and love. courage cause her to step out of her comfort zone, making her different and special.
sometimes, i wonder, how much do i know my teachers?
lesser than what they know about me.
sometimes, i wonder, how important i am in a teacher's heart?
lesser than what they mean to me.
sometimes, i wonder, how much how much influence i am to a teacher?
lesser than the amount of influence a teacher have on me.
she opens the entrance to a whole new type of dance to me.
she opens the entrance to a new me.
with the care and trust she have for me.
entering her house makes me smile.
exiting her sight makes me frown.
my jazz teacher, kathleen ng kai hui, made a difference in my life.

no christmas day to celebrate
no more chance to see the smile on your face.
no more trips to your house
where we find comfort on the sofa.
